Claims Coordinator / Administrative

Mellon Certified Restoration is looking for an organized individual to fill our Claims Coordinator opportunity:
The Claims Coordinator is the key liaison between the Mellon Certified Restoration team, insurance industry personnel, and our customers. This important role is responsible for file flow and ensuring compliance with program deadlines. You can be expected to schedule appointments, give information to callers (customers, employees, insurance companies, etc.), and assist Production Managers, Property Loss Specialists (PLS), and Branch Managers with tracking progress on jobs.
Job Description:
Receive and process new claims ensuring documentation of all pertinent loss information.
Enters claim information into software programs including updating proprietary Job Tracker.
Sets appointment for inspection of loss, obtains directions and maintains PLS schedule.
Schedule crews for Emergency Services.
Assist customers and insurance personnel with questions on loss status.
Locates and attaches appropriate file to correspondence to be answered. Download/upload assignments.
May enter estimate information in Xactimate and prepares package of cover, photos, estimate.
Maintains electronic and hard copy job files
Maintain and oversee all insurance programs for compliancy
Attends production (Work In Process) meetings and updates Job Tracker notes simultaneously
Prepare various reports - for management and others as needed.
A/P Invoice coding and entry
A/R - billing and account reconciliation
Payroll - time card summary and entry.
2-3 years experience in a support role.
Proficiency with computer use and Microsoft Office required; Xactimate experience a plus.
Must have helpful supportive attitude, pleasant phone manners, be extremely reliable, and be a self-starter who can multi-task.
High degree of organizational skills required.
Experience working with property insurance industry highly desirable.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
