Job Description The Buyer will help lead the customer to be the best in the world for customers, employees, and shareholders.
This high-performing team member's responsibilities include driving 100% customer satisfaction through procurement excellence, including Zero-Defect Quality, 100% On-Time Delivery at the lowest Total Cost.
He/She will also help execute our plan to achieve best-in-class results in the following categories:
- Perfect Safety - 100% Regulatory Compliance - Zero-Defect Quality- - On-Time Delivery- Maximum Financial Strength ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Analyze, maintain, and execute Materials Requirement Plan (MRP)- Monitor and verify materials pipeline to ensure it fully supports MRP requirements- Identify, expedite material supply issues to ensure 100% on-time delivery- Define customer liability of materials and ensure proper visibility for customer tracking- Execute company negotiated terms with suppliers to minimize materials liability- Issue Purchase Orders to pricing, terms & conditions that are negotiated and agreed to by customer- Optimize purchase order placement process- Order to customer's stocking protocols to ensure inventory turns of 6, with a goal of no excess material on order or in stock- Resolve supplier performance issues, where needed with Supplier Corrective Actions, to prevent recurrence- Minimize materials freight expenses CANDIDATE PROFILE - Demonstrated ability to set and achieve stretch goals quickly, while possessing strong people skills- 5
